I am a lover of lip balm. It’s true! I won’t even try to deny it.
They live in my handbags, coat pockets, car, work desk, coffee tables, the pocket of my pants and in a little tray next to my bed. Sometimes, when the cats get ahold of them, they are also in unexpected places (think under the couch/ bookshelves/ fridge). I’ve tried SO MANY different brands/ flavours and I feel like I know what I’m talking about when it comes to this.
For months and months I stared longingly at the list of Fandom scents/flavours Geek Fire Labs has to offer, deciding and re-deciding which I wanted to try. I narrowed it down to about eight, then bought five in a bundle offer.
Moon Prism Power, Makeup!
This delicious lip balm is based on the heroine, Sailor Moon. It smells just like a pink frosted vanilla cupcake!
Crescent Moon Kitty
Also from Sailor Moon, this balm is a nod to Luna, one of the little kitty advisors to the Sailor Scouts. It smells of blackberries drenched in fresh cream. (This is my hubby’s favourite!)
Goblin King’s Gift
If you haven’t seen The Labyrinth, you have to! David Bowie as the Goblin King, Jareth was a huge crush of mind in the early nineties. This balm is scented with summery peaches and sweet cream.
Harry Potter… obviously! Anyone who has read the books or seen the movies has always wanted to visit Hogwarts during the Christmas holiday season. This balm is filled with warm caramel deliciousness. (This one is my favourite!)
Everyone has a patronus. You just have to discover it. The white chocolate mint flavouring to this balm absolutely works with the ethereal patronus
These balms are home-made in small batches from oils (Soybean, Sunflower, Hemp, Avocado, Jojoba), beeswax, cocoa butter, shea butter, vitamin e, aloe vera and flavour oils. I have been using them for a month now and I love them so much. They do not melt in my pocket like so many homemade balms do! They feel amazing on the lips and keep them hydrated for hours. I can’t wait to order more!
*Geek Fire Labs recommends that you keep the plastic cover on the tubes as the printed labels will rub off. I took them off… and well, they didn’t lie. I have since put clear packing tape to cover the pretty little labels!*
